I find it hard to stay in one place for more than a couple of years. There is adventure in change, and that’s certainly something I’ve grown to love over the years. I’m a traveler and explorer. I’ve spent more of my life living outside of the country that issued my passport than in it.
I got my first real experience behind the lens while living in Kenya from 2009 to 2011. It didn’t take long for me to become the official family photographer, as I have a tendency to approach activities I like with a passion that is hard to match. I’m an artist and a perfectionist. I can’t produce a decent painting to save my life, but given a laptop and a camera I can easily prove my worth.
I would much rather go for a trail run than a hike, but nothing beats the 400m oval in early June. I’m an athlete and a competitor. I’ve run at the national level in the mile and 5000m and plan to continue competing for at least eight more years. I train and race more aggressively than most of my peers and don’t plan on letting up any time soon.
I drive a 6-speed Jeep Wrangler but wouldn’t mind a few less pounds and a few more horsepower in my next car. I prefer German engineering, Italian food, British suits, and American denim.
